Welcome to Brick Kiln Barns — a collection of four dog-friendly holiday cottages set among open fields on the edge of the peaceful village of Dilham, just 8 miles from the North Norfolk coast.
Our cosy, self-catering cottages provide the perfect base for exploring the Norfolk Broads and enjoying miles of sandy, dog-friendly and family-friendly beaches all year round.

Our nearest beaches include Happisburgh, Sea Palling, Bacton, and Mundesley, all within an easy 15-20 minute drive. It is not much further to reach popular seaside towns like Cromer, Sheringham, and Wells-next-the-Sea to the North, or Winterton-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth, and Gorleston to the South.

Heading inland, Wroxham, “Capital of the Broads,” is just a 15-minute drive althought you'll find many options even closer for hiring day boats, canoes, or paddleboards to enjoy the waterways including from Wayford Bridge, Stalham, Coltishall and Potter Heigham.
Walking routes & dog-friendly woodlands
Keen walkers can join both the North Walsham and Dilham canal path and the Weaver’s Way trail directly from the barns. For off-lead shady woodland walks, take the short 10-minute drive over to Bacton Wood. For a walk with a view you can also explore some of the cliff-top sections of the stunning North Norfolk Coastal Path.
Onsite at Brick Kiln Barns, you can give your dogs some extra exercise on our communal field area. Please note, this area is not fenced to preserve the natural setting, which guests love for spotting wild muntjac deer wandering through.

For your convenience, all major supermarkets offer online shopping and delivery directly to the barns. Within six miles, you'll find a Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Waitrose supermarket for your essential holiday groceries.
For a taste of local Norfolk produce visit Roys supermarket in Wroxham, also six miles away or A G Meales farm shop just three miles away.
After a long day of exploring, cooking is not compulsory! You'll find a great choice of local takeaways that deliver to the barns, making your holiday less about self-catering and more about relaxing!

The coastal stretch encompassing Bacton and Walcott to Cart Gap provides miles of uninterrupted sandy shoreline. These beaches are ideal for a leisurely walk and a paddle in the summer, or something more bracing during the quieter winter months.

Even closer to the barns you'll find day boat hire, kayaking and paddleboarding options just three miles from the barns and canoe hire available right in Dilham village.

For those keen to explore the waterways, day boat hire is readily available from Stalham Staithe, providing another excellent access point to the beautiful Norfolk Broads National Park.
