Just 6 miles away and considered the "Capital of the Broads" Wroxham is home to the Roys of Wroxham retail empire with supermarket, department store, toy store and more together with a selection of other shops, cafes, pubs, restaurants, takeaways offering delivery to Dilham, and of course boat hire - see our 'Things To Do' page for options for getting on the water.

7 miles from the barns, Happisburgh is famous for its red and white striped lighthouse. The beach offers miles of sand with no restrictions to enjoy with your pooch year round and the old sea defences always add interest.
Sea Palling
8.5 miles from the barns, Sea Palling beach is great for dog walking in the winter months. It has some seasonal restrictions around the main swimming area where its blue flag status, soft sand and gentle waters make it a great choice for families.
Waxham
9 miles from the barns, Sea Palling gives way to Waxham which has no restrictions, no official carpark and no facilities but it is a popular choice for local dog walkers.
Horsey & Horsey Gap
12 miles from the barns and famous for its colony of breeding Grey Seals, take a trip in the winter months to view new born seal pups and in the summer to spot seals bobbing about in the water.
Bacton - Walcott
7 miles from the barns, Bacton and Walcott are both great for a day out at the beach or a beach walk. There are seasonal restrictions in places but there's plenty of beach to go round!
Mundesley
8.5 miles from the barns, Mundesley's blue flag beach is a good choice for families and swimmers. The main beach does have seasonal dog restrictions but dogs can be walked on leads along the promenade to areas where they can run free.
